THE YEAR WAS 1914
It all started in 1914. The times were turbulent, but there was an optimistic belief that the future and technologic advances would bring good things.
Karl Wilhelm Bruun was one of the first to see those opportunities. In these years he made his first car sales and later founded K.W. Bruun, based on equal parts love for cars and respect for talented and dedicated employees. .
THE AUTOMOBILE PIONEER OF THE COUNTRY
The curiosity and inventiveness became his fuel - and a heritage for coming generations. He was called the automobile pioneer of the country, and even though it is more than 100 years ago, it is still his values that lead the way. Values, that we, today, have translated into modern business language - we call it C.A.R.E.
CORPORATION WITH DEEP VALUES
Already then, the pace was high. The car industry was growing and in 1930, the company changed name to British Motors. The ability to follow along with developments and adapt has always been one of the strengths in the Group. This mindset is still present in our business approach, which we express as AGILE.
In 1952 British Motors became Interdan, and in 2021 it was a natural next step to return to our roots. To K.W. Bruun & Co.
Together, we have seen times change. We have followed the development of cars from the Oldsmobile to the newest model. And we have sent the Danes out on the roads in more than 20 different car-brands.
DEDICATED EMPLOYEES
For four generations the Bruun Families hearts have beaten for cars. We have taken care of what, back then, was created out of good salesmanship, propriety and a deep respect for the employees.
K.W. Bruun showed us the way to where we are today. But we would never have come so far without talented and dedicated employees. Employees who each have different skills - making them stronger together.
We rest on the shoulders of more than 100 years of love for cars - a love, that will never rust.

Karl Wilhelm Bruun sold his first car.
1925
K.W. Bruun established his first car import with Fiat.
1930
British Motors was founded with import of Hillmann, Humber, Sunbeam.
40s
The company made it through the Second World War, among other things through selling paintings and through peat digging. After the liberation in 1945, K.W. Bruun “found” all the cars which were kept hidden from the Germans in barns and outhouses.
50s
I 1952 the company becomes the first importer of Peugeot in Denmark. That same year, British Motors changed its name to Interdan.
The Ford car dealership was established in company Dana Ford Forhandling A/S.
60s
K.W. Bruun turned 70 and was celebrated as the automotive pioneer of the country.
American Chrysler bought English Rootes and K.W. Bruun had to stop importing British car brands. Instead, he imported Dutch DAF Japanese Datsun, Wartburg and Trabant.
70s
Datsun Sverige AB (Sweden) was established.
K.W. Bruun’s love of boats materialised in the company Flipper Scow, which was established by Peer Bruun and carried on by Peter Bruun.
80s
K.W. Bruun died, 83 years old.
Takes over the Alfa Romeo and starts importing Dodge.
Datsun Denmark changed its name to Nissan Motor Denmark.
90s
Dana Ford A/S was sold.
K.W. Bruun bought a large industrial complex in Copenhagen - a central warehouse of spare parts for Peugeot.
Imports of Daewoo established and Peugeot imports to Sweden taken over through K.W. Bruun Autoimport AB.
00s
SsangYong is established in Denmark and Sweden.
The import of Peugeot to Iceland, Estonia and Latvia is established.
Import of Mitsubishi in Denmark is taken over from Mitsubishi Motors in Europe.
Interdan Invest A/S is established.

Interdan begins to import Citroën to Denmark and launches Bilabonnement in Denmark.
Interdan begins to import Opel to Denmark and Sweden.
NxT A/S digital innovation is established.
20s
I 2020 Classic Car House is established.
20. maj 2021 Interdan Group changes its name into K.W. Bruun & Co.
2021 - Import of Mitsubishi in Sweden.
2021 - 100% majority shares in Quickpoint.
2022 - Import of Fiat, Fiat Pro, Jeep, Alfa Romeo in Denmark.
2023 - Import of Hongqi and Voyah in Denmark.
2023 - K.W. Bruun Collection was founded.
